DiMaggioAuido Soul Project and more. Hi folks, I hope this mix finds you well. Here's another rough and ready vinyl mixtape throwdown from back in the day.
Cracking set Chris - love listening to this series - brings back so many good if a little hazy memories and these tracks really stand the test of time :. Hey Chris, it's been a while. I got a lot of Guidance mixes to catch up on. What a good place to start, with a H-Foundation track right off the bat.
Followed by my favourite Hipp-E track! I knew this was going to be a real treat for me. Low Points; None! Damn fine set. Well played sir :. Hi fella, great to hear from you. It has been a while! Pleased you enjoyed the mix, loads of dub infused house on this session, and one of my fave Hipp-E tracks too.
I admittedly used to buy Audio Soul Project releases on sight, always top quality. I haven't had as much time to spend on here lately but will definitely catch up on a few of your mixes. Cheers mate, take it easy :. I Hear Dis Sound! Memories of a soft landing was one of my fav, and the whole mix was top notch, a great set to get my feet movinnnnn : C'est de lourd mon ami-my friend, Chris!!
Thanks Yaz! Really enjoyed this set Chris, nice to be re-introduced so some classics by way of a remix. I was so fixated with the main Ian Pooley mix of You Are We when it came out that I ignored the bump and funk of the dub.
The Jeff Bennett cuts are lovely too, first came across him on some of those seminal Timewriter mixsets on plastic city, Deep Train. Hi fella, good to hear from you! Thanks for dropping in to listen to this session, glad you enjoyed it. I always went for the dubs back then! I was dismayed to discover that NRK are no longer operating. Such a great, underated label, the breadth and quality of their output was phenomenal.
Cracking stuff, take care mate. A fantastic deep and tech filled journey with funky and dub textures. Great selection of tunes that provided a non-stop groove.
I always gain new insight when I listen to your sets as well as new appreciation for the music we all love. Great and unfamiliar sounds for me. Great set, Chris. Thanks, G. So rewarding that you gain new insight into the music Sellout - Erich Lee and Francis Harris - Sellout these mixes. It's good to look back once in a while - there are some great productions out there that can inform the current scene. Cheers bud. I took this in on a long training run very early this Sunday morning and it was a glorious soundtrack mate.
Setting out very deep and dubby but with lots of bone rattling bass that gives it a funky edge. The Freeman and Sharp remix and the Ian Pooley remix probably my stand outs here, miserly because the second half gets going nicely. The Deep South remix is killer as well, I've got the original in the archives somewhere but don't think I've heard this remix.
Always a pleasure to hear your sets Chrisnice one mate. Thanks Jay, glad you enjoyed it. I can imagine this mix would be great for an early morning run, getting that natural high as you listen and run. Most Low Pressings tracks haven't aged that well from this period but that Kevin Freeman is an exception, a very understated Sellout - Erich Lee and Francis Harris - Sellout effective track.
I love the original mix of Deep South but that D'Julz remix is probably my fave of the bunch. Thanks for listening mate :. Very unique and intelligent take on the deep house set and I had an absolute blast getting lost in the intricacies of the selections you have showcased here.
Very funky and playful at times highlighted by Memories and Fanatic with a nice deeper touch with such gems as Sellout. Deep South is an absolute belter of a tune, super classy and groovy. You Are We is a super funky number, made me dance in my chair. Crazy penises can do wild things.
The ending is just amazing, very cool throwback bleepy textures, very trippy and eclectic. Loved the sesh, Chris, pleasure to be invited into your mind music connections. Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it. Dancing in chairs is a regular occurrence around here - it can be very freeing, if alarming for others. I total concur on Deep South - an absolute cracker!
Cheers, looking forward to your next outing. Great Prelude & Yodel - Penguin Cafe Orchestra - When In Rome., Chris!
Some solid, deep, funky tech house tunes on here. The Beez track was another standout. Cheers fella - love Sellout - Erich Lee and Francis Harris - Sellout Jeff Bennett Carta De Joe Simas - Carlos Alberto Moniz - Herdeiros Da Maresia. A very underated producer IMO.
I'm all good pal, catching up on a few mixes around here while i have the time! Keep going and take it easy :. Keep up to date with every new upload!
